GARBH DONNACHAIDH
MOTTO:GLORY IS THE REWARD OF VALOUR.

The Duncans,Robertsons and Donnachies know as Clan Donnachaidh, appear to have descended fron the Celtic Earls of Atholl in northern Perthshire.
The name duncan comes from the Chief known as `Fat Duncan`, a great friend of King Robert the Bruce, who led Clan Donnachaidh at the battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
The clan remained very active and loyal to the Stewarts, and took the name Robertson from their chief, Robert (himself named after Bruce), to commemorate his capturing the murderers of James I in 1437.
The Chief of the Clan is styled Struan-Robertson and branches of the clan have become widely distributed throughout Scotland and indeed the world.
