As well as being Artizans, Elspeth and I are involved in studying Family History and for the past few years I’ve been a moderator on . Every year we have an AGM at a different venue and this year Dumbarton Burgh Hall was selected.
I was asked to make a short presentation to the meeting and naturally chose KRBHC as my theme. At the end I invited the members to visit the centre and they were enthusiastic to a man/woman.
Thirty of us piled into a fleet of cars and sped through to Renton where Duncan, Brenda, Susan, Paul, Jeanette and a gap-toothed Jim had been primed to expect us. Needless to say they were most welcoming and gave the visitors a wonderful time and many photographs are already on their way to Canada, California and Barcelona as well as airts and pairts throughout Scotland.
I know that quite a few bought books and other mementoes of the visit and I personally rattled the donation box. All in all it was a good day for KRBHC but an even better one for members of www.scotfamtree.org.uk.
A wee film of the SFT AGM and the visit to KRBHC can be seen here.
